  ਢਾ ਦਲ ਦੀ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ   ਅਕਾਲ ਸੈਨਾ   ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ   ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ   ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਣੀ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਦੌਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਯੋਧਾ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਦੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖੀ। ਸਿੱਖ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਆਦਰਨੀਯ ਮਹਾਨ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ   ਬਾਬਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਜੀ   ਇਸ ਵੰਸ਼ਾਵਲੀ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ।   ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ   ਦੇ ਨਿਕਟਮ ਸਿੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਛੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ, ਬਾਬਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਜੀ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਤਾ, ਭਗਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ-ਦੱਤੀ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਬਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਜੀ ਘੋੜਸਵਾਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ  ਗਵਾਲੀਅਰ ਕਿਲ੍ਹੇ  ਵਿਖੇ  ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ  ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਤਾਂ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਯੋਧਾ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਵ੍ਯ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਹੋਈ। ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ  ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ  ਦੀ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ  ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦਲ  ਨੂੰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਧਿਕਾਰਿਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਕਮਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਰਹੀ। ਬਾਬਾ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਦ...

The lineage of the Budha Dal traces its sacred origins to the formation of the Akal Sena during the time of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. This period marked the institutional foundation of the Sikh martial tradition. Baba Budha Ji, one of the most revered figures in Sikh history, stands at the spiritual root of this lineage. As one of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s closest disciples and a servant of the first six Sikh Gurus, Baba Budha Ji represents continuity, devotion, and Guru-ordained authority. When Baba Budha Ji arrived at Gwalior Fort accompanied by Sikh warriors mounted on horseback to welcome Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the Sixth Guru was deeply pleased and bestowed a divine boon that established the eternal sanctity of this martial tradition. It is from this sacred legacy that the authority of the Budha Dal Jathedar originates.
